Hello! My name is Alessia and I am the new Social Media Co-Ordinator at Shake Social. I’ve just moved to Nottingham after having spent four years in London where I studied Creative Writing, enjoyed long walks along the Thames, missed hundreds of last tubes and worked in an Italian restaurant. Although I wasn’t in the kitchen, I too can prepare a delicious (not everyone would agree) Italian dinner for I was born and raised in the bel paese.

After graduating, I decided that I would carry on being a fiction writer (nope, I’m not famous yet so no need to Google my name) in the comfort of my home while exploring the endless opportunities that social media offers nowadays. It made sense, because of my love for writing and the fascination that social media and the new ways of communication play on me. Because social media has such a great impact in our life, I believe only by understanding its mechanisms we can harness its potential power.

Along writing and (surprise surprise!) reading, travelling is another big passion of mine. When I was a little younger, my dream was to become a travel writer (after the usual actress, football player, astronaut plans), but then of course the usual things happened (okay, I met the one) and now my dream is to have lot of holiday time, so we can pack up our backpacks and
explore this amazing world.
