From Buyable Pins on Pinterest to Messenger payments on Facebook – there’s lots of marketing potential that hasn’t quite made it to Blighty yet! As soon as it does we’ll be testing, reviewing and sharing our best insights with you – until then, we’re keeping an eye on how it’s panning out across the pond. Lots of excitement around Buyable pins so far – for those of you in retail it will be big news when it does happen.
Meanwhile, Facebook has changed it’s logo (did anyone notice?!) with a subtle update and a cleaner font. And the world has been celebrating Social Media Day (June 30th in case you missed it….).
More significantly, Facebook has added video insights to its Page Insights section – really useful if you’re running video ads:
With this tab, you will have access to the following insights:
- Views and 30-second views at a Page level
- Top videos within a certain date range
- Metrics for videos shared from other Pages
Buffer have also been analysing millions of tweets to determine best times for posting. After analyzing over 4.8 million tweets across 10,000 profiles from October 2010 to March 2015, Buffer determined that on average, tweets sent in the early morning are more likely to receive the most clicks. However, tweets sent in the evenings or late at night tend to receive the most favorites and retweets, on average. Exact times vary by time zone, but you can see the full lowdown here.
