Perhaps by now you’ve seen my byline and wondered who I am. Hello! I’m Moya, the newest addition to the Shake Social team. I graduated last year with a degree in English and French, and began working here at Shake at the start of January.
As you might expect from an ex-English student, I’m an obsessive reader- I always have a book on the go, and you can find me on Goodreads and on Pinterest, talking about what I’ve just finished reading or searching for a book to read next. When I’m not working at Shake, I volunteer with my local Oxfam Books, putting my book knowledge to good use.
I love starting new projects- I’m always finding new sewing patterns to attempt or complicated recipes to try- even if they don’t always turn out as expected. Studying French has definitely given me a taste for languages, and I often try out new apps and language-learning sites so that I can give people a good laugh by trying to speak to them in my dodgy Spanish.
I really love connecting with people, which is why I think social media is great- it’s a fantastic way of reaching out to people who have things in common with you, so you can enthuse about them together. Keeping up-to-date with social media is something that really excites me- I love seeing the new ways that social networks come up with to bring people together and make it even easier to build relationships online.
