So, we are by now all aware of the huge impact Twitter has had not just on the social media world but on the business world as well. Just after its seventh birthday just about everyone has heard of Twitter, most people are on it and most companies are on it as well. We tweet. You tweet. We all tweet.

But there is a tiny problem with Twitter. As your followers grow you timeline becomes busier and busier. It becomes harder and harder to engage, to target specific people and to know that your tweets are getting to the right people. If only there was something that could help!

Enter Nestivity. Nestivity is a tool that allows you to turn your Twitter account into a community environment – a community engagement platform as they call it – or a ‘nest’.  But what does that mean? It’s like having a fan page, but the designers claim it is better.

You will be able to organise your following so your followers are encouraged to share questions, experiences and ideas (as they already do) but the designers of Nestivity say it will be easier and more accessible. You can engage your followers with hashtag discussions and your content will be heard throughout the Twitter universe allowing more people to be “advisors and advocates”. And finally you’ll be able to archive everything so you can look back through your Twitter content whenever you like. Your Nestivity page will be a dedicated area for your followers to find out about and engage with you.

Nestivity will launch in April and at the moment looks set to be the next big thing on Twitter as it will help to focus content and have followers more engaged with that content and the brand behind it. Social media is all about having a conversation and Nestivity looks like it’s going to take Twitter on that next step. We will keep you posted as it unfolds!
